By Reginald Stanley. Posted February 15, 2014, 11:00 AM.High Pressure and offshore flow helped generate very warm temperatures and dry conditions this week, not commonly seen in February. High temperatures ranged from in the 80 degree range to the lower 90s, the warmest being Wildomar, where 92 degrees was recorded on Friday. Lake Elsinore and Menifee also reached or exceeded 90 degrees on Friday. In Temecula, where records date back to August 1999, highs of 89 degrees were recorded on both Thursday and Friday. The warmest temperature recorded there in February was 95 degrees on February 4th, 2001. Warm temperatures are still expected Saturday, but cooling off a few degrees each day into next week as low pressure moves into the area. Originally, a small chance of showers was forecast to affect us around Wednesday, but now that appears unlikely. |
