Below are the questions that are asked the most about the Menifee weather site. Didn't find your question here? Try the Temecula F.A.Q. or Ask!
Where is the Menifee Valley weather station located? |
Just inside Sun City, near the intersections of Murrieta Road and Sun City Boulevard. |
Why is the Menifee Valley hotter in the summer than most of the surrounding areas? |
The Menifee Valley is just south of the Elsinore convergence, a zone where the two major airstreams in Western Riverside County meet. The lack of direct westerly winds in the Elsinore convergence, the result of topography (tall mountains west of Lake Elsinore), means that the communities along the convergence are generally hotter than to the south and the north. The affected communities are Perris, Sun City, Menifee, Canyon Lake, Lake Elsinore and even Hemet to the east. |
Are there other online weather stations in the Menifee Valley? |
There is another online weather station in the south Menifee area, about one mile east of Scott Road and Interstate 215, on the Murrieta city border. |
