Wind gusts in Fallbrook peaked at 35 mph in the 3 o'clock hour, the highest of the WeatherCurrents locations. Menifee and Moreno Valley were just behind at 34 mph.

Temecula peaked at 33mph in the 3pm hour Wednesday. Murrieta's peak was 31mph, Riverside recorded 31mph, Perris' max was 29 mph, Wildomar topped out at 26 mph, and Lake Elsinore reached 24mph.

Some of the more wind-sheltered locations also had significant wind: De Luz at 22 mph and Hemet (Valle Vista) at 17 mph.

Dry conditions accompanied the windy day. Relative humidity Wednesday afternoon fell into the single digits in some inland locations, and was in the teens in others.

One small fire was reported, in Murrieta, but that was quickly knocked down.

Thursday morning was expected to be windy as well, but forecasts from the National Weather Service called for the winds to begin to diminish in the afternoon.
