Lake Elsinore Overflows

According to an unconfirmed report, Lake Elsinore has begun spilling into its outfall today. As of this morning, the lake was at more than 1253 feet, less than two feet below the outfall, which takes water out to the Temescal wash to help control the lake level and prevent flooding around the lake.

Lake Elsinore is the endpoint of the San Jacinto River, which also includes the Railroad Canyon Reservoir in Canyon Lake, which has been spilling since January.
