A cold winter storm last weekend didn't live up to expectations of two inches of rainfall in parts of western Riverside and northern San Diego counties, but some areas did get an inch or near an inch.
Some areas even received brief snowfall on March 11th, although none of the WeatherCurrents locations were among them. Nearly all of the snow fell above the 2,000 foot level to the east of the main inland valleys, although snowflakes were documented in the Valle Vista area of Hemet and northeastern Temecula, melting right as they hit the ground.
De Luz led the way once again with 1.09", with Temecula right behind at 1.02". De Luz also leads the season totals with 8.11". The least amounts were recorded to the north, with Riverside, Sun City and Lake Elsinore bringing up the rear.
