Yesterday's average temperature of 37.9°F at the Hemet weather station was the coldest ever recorded there. Weather data collection began January 19, 2003, meaning March 11th was the coldest in at least four winters.
The combination of a cold morning and cold afternoon temperatures sent yesterday more than two degrees below the previous record of 40.2°F, which was set January 4th, 2005.
An even colder night is in store Sunday night, with temperatures below freezing currently predicted. Areas of frost and ground fog may be present Monday morning. |
