The first two storms of March brought a spattering of rainfall to western Riverside and northern San Diego counties. Both storms were poorly organized and quickly disintegrated.
Due to showers after the second storm, Fallbrook leads the way in March so far, with 0.45". Sun City recorded the least amount of rainfall at 0.10".
All areas remained well below normal during this La Niña-affected season.
A powerful winter storm scheduled to arrive Thursday night or Friday morning may add one to two inches or more to season totals before it leaves the area Monday or Tuesday, but rainfall will continue to be below seasonal norms despite it.
