WeatherCurrents completed a move yesterday from a dedicated web server that had served it the past two years to a new dedicated server. Several factors drove the change, including location, maintainability and reduced cost.
The new server is located in a San Jose data center, fewer hops from WeatherCurrents' core Southern California audience. The old server was located in a Miami, Florida data center.
There were some minor disruptions last week as services were migrated across to the new server one by one. |
