The first storm of the series is projected to arrive Saturday during the day and has an inch or more in store. Snow levels in the local mountains are expected to be around 7,000 feet. The storm may not exit the region until Sunday.

A potentially stronger storm is predicted to arrive Monday. Strong gusty winds are possible with Monday's storm, and the rain may be heavy at times.

The last significant rainfall occurred between October 16th and 18th. A year ago such storms were regular occurrences between October and March, and seasonal rainfall at this point last year was over a dozen inches in most western Riverside and northern San Diego county locations.
