By Reginald Stanley. Posted January 20, 2025, 4:55 PM.The National Weather Service has once again issued a High Wind Warning from 8 PM Monday through 8 PM Tuesday for the inland valleys, as moderate-to-strong Santa Ana Winds grip the region early this week. Winds were already gusting inland Monday afternoon, while humidities dropped to around 10 percent amid critical fire weather conditions. Winds from this event are not expected to be as severe as the event earlier this month which contributed to the devastating fires in Pacific Palisades and Altadena in Los Angeles County. Winds will still be significant, however, with the windiest valley locations generally being in Orange County and the Riverside-Ontario metropolitan area. Northeast winds between 25 and 40 mph are expected inland, with gusts up to 60 mph in favored locations. Following a break on Wednesday, Santa Ana Winds will return yet again Thursday and Friday, before low pressure brings a chance of precipitation to the region this weekend. |
