Precipitation totals for WeatherCurrents stations in Perris since at least late 2022 will be disregarded until further notice, as the rain gauge is believed to be underreporting rainfall and has not been consistent with nearby reports. WeatherCurrents' station in Murrieta experienced a connection-related outage on January 6, causing a loss of data from that station until repairs were made on January 11. That station is still failing to report humidity and dew points, however that is believed to be a separate problem. Murrieta will be using substituted storm totals for the most recent storm in the upcoming storm totals story, from a local gauge very close to the WeatherCurrents site there. It is not clear at this time if the same practice will be applied to WeatherCurrents' station in Perris. We apologize for the inconvenience in the mean time.
