At 7:30 am, rain totals were at 1.07" in Fallbrook, 0.67" in Temecula, 0.31" in De Luz and 0.14" in Murrieta, following periods or rain. French Valley registered 0.05".

The first round of lightning and thunder began before 6am, and was followed up by another round around 7am. Downpours accompanied both rounds.

Most of the other inland valleys had not yet received measurable rainfall for Tuesday, except for Moreno Valley and Hemet, both with 0.01".

Numerous thunderstorms and showers were expected throughout the day Tuesday and into Wednesday morning, before beginning to taper off, according to the latest predictions from the National Weather Service. Total rainfall was expected to be betwee one half inch to an inch in most locations (although Fallbrook had already passed that mark by early Tuesday morning).
