By Reginald Stanley. There is a small threat of isolated thunderstorms Friday afternoon, as the core of the low pressure system passes directly over Southern California and heightens instability. Wrap-around moisture from the north increases rain chances during this time as well. Precipitation totals, outside of where thunderstorms develop, are expected to be less than 0.10 inches. Isolated thunderstorms will be possible over the Santa Ana Mountains, Inland Empire, San Bernardino Mountains and high desert. The system will depart the region Saturday, giving way to a high pressure ridge and warmer temperatures next week. |
