Spring arrived on Monday, as we recovered (or dug out, depending where you were) from the last storm of the winter over the past weekend. High temperatures today have been running 15 to 20 degrees warmer than Monday.

Unfortunately the fine early spring weather isn't going to last.

An approaching storm will mean a significant change in the weather...again...but it will not be nearly as windy, wet...or cold as the storm last weekend.

Rain will begin late Saturday night over Simi Valley, then spread into northern Riverside and morning. Late Sunday morning the rain will begin to move into southwest Riverside and San Diego County. Rain will continue through Monday morning, ahead of a cold front that will move across the area.

Rain totals are expected to be in the 1/2 to 1 inch range in the Simi Valley area and 1/4 to 3/4 inch in the Inland Empire, and rainfall could be 1 to 3 inches on coastal (south and southwest facing) mountain slopes. One to two inches of snow could fall above 5000 feet, and 3 to 6 inches at resort levels.
