Another weak trough brought scattered showers to the region Monday morning, departing by noon. In the communities that recorded measurable rainfall, amounts were not significant.
Six WeatherCurrents stations recorded rainfall on Monday, with Moreno Valley leading at 0.05 inches. Both Riverside locations (Orangecrest and Presidential Park) reported 0.04 inches each. WeatherCurrents' stations in Simi Valley, San Diego (City Heights), and De Luz also recorded small amounts of rainfall. In East Highland, Peter Michas reported 0.02 inches.
A brief episode of offshore flow is forecast to return this week, followed by another chance of showers over the weekend as a weak trough targets the region.
