The latest forecast predictions have the warm weather extending to next Tuesday, followed by a cooling trend.

On Friday, Santa Ana conditions led to temperatures that were higher at the coast than inland, an inverted curve stretching from the eastern mountain ranges westward.

For example, the National Weather Service reported at high of 85°F in Torrance, and 84°F in Santa Ana, Lake Forest, San Marcos and Vista.

The warmest WeatherCurrents station in the inland valleys was Fallbrook, at 81°F. Temecula and De Luz were next at 79°F, followed by Murrieta, Lake Elsinore, and Menifee at 78°F. It was coolest in the northern areas, with San Jacinto registering 74°F, Perris 75°F, Moreno Valley 76°F and Hemet and Riverside at 77°F.

Saturday was predicted to be less windy inland, with offshore flow weakening. Peak wind gusts Friday were 29 mph in Riverside, 25 mph in Menifee, 24 mph in Murrieta and Perris, 23 mph in Temecula, 21 mph in Lake Elsinore and 20 mph in Fallbrook.
