Latest bout of weather to again mix drizzle, gusty winds

The latest in a long series of late-season systems had arrived Sunday, bringing with it deep marine layer, patchy drizzle, and gusty winds. Wind gusts reached over 20 mph Sunday evening in Murrieta (28mph), Temecula (22 mph), and Wildomar (21 mph), and were close to 20 mph in Riverside, Lake Elsinore and French Valley, as marine layer rolled in. Monday is predicted to be the peak day for the low clouds, with only partial after clearing in some inland locations. Earlier forecasts had called for a chance of light rain Monday morning, but that has since been scaled back. Monday morning remains the best chance for some drizzle. The low pressure system should exit to the east later on Tuesday. Onshore flow will last in its wake through Thursday, then weak high pressure and warming are predicted ahead of the upcoming Memorial Day Weekend. |
