Most Fallbrook Residents Allowed to Return Thursday Evening

Residents who can access their homes from South Mission Road and are west of Gird Road are allowed to return after 7pm tonight. Access to East Mission Road from Interstate 15 is still blocked, and residents in the burn area are not yet allowed to return. According to the Sign On San Diego Blog, the rebuilding of a chlorination facility at Red Mountain by the Fallbrook Utilities District was necessary to trigger most of the evacuation to be lifted. "Evacuation orders still are in effect generally between the interstate and Stagecoach Lane in the northeast and along East Reche Road to Live Oak Park," according to the blog entry.
