Storm totals: April 28th

Posted May 2, 2010, 10:19 PM.

A late-season storm caused sporadic light showers last Wednesday, in what could be the last significant rainfall of the season in Riverside and San Diego's inland valleys.

Fallbrook (0.15") and De Luz (0.15") led the way. Moreno Valley (0.11"), Riverside (0.06") and Perris (0.06") were next, reflecting a division of the storm between south and north.

Murrieta received 0.03", Wildomar recorded 0.02", Lake Elsinore, Hemet and San Jacinto all got 0.01".

WeatherCurrents' South Temecula and Sun City stations did not record any rainfall.

Two of WeatherCurrents' frequent reporters also recorded rainfall from the storm. East San Jacinto recorded 0.01" (courtesy of Monty Parrot) and the Canonita area of South Fallbrook got 0.11" (courtesy of R.C. Blankenhorn). Both were close to totals from nearby WeatherCurrents stations.

There were no new storms on the horizon for the region, and the climates of May and June in the inland valleys reflect strong declines in average rainfall.
