The Poomacha Fire was the only remaining fire not contained in North San Diego County Sunday morning, at 50% containment and 49,150 acres burned.
Both the Rice Canyon Fire and Horno/Ammo Fires have been reported as contained.
The upper hand had been gained on other fires to the south in San Diego County, to the west in Orange County, and to the north in the San Bernardino Mountains.
Areas of smoke from the fires were still predicted to cause air quality problems Sunday. |
