Pala Road Closed at Pechanga Creek

A report this afternoon has a swollen Pechanga Creek running three feet above where it meets Pala Road. The affected area is just south of Great Oak High School and the Pechanga Casino, just south of the Temecula city limits. The road is closed; neither vehicles and pedestrians are currentlyallowed to cross. This is the same hundred foot stretch of Pala Road that was washed out January 9th and reopened a week later. The new flooding should rekindle the debate over whether or not a bridge should be built there. Thanks to Sue Bram for this report. |
