A trough moving through the region Friday brought significant cooling and scattered shower activity Friday, along with a deep marine layer.
Of the currently eighteen active WeatherCurrents stations, nine of them recorded measurable rain from the storm. All recorded less than 1/10 of an inch as predicted. Beaumont (Cherry Valley) received the highest amount with 0.07 inches, followed by Simi Valley with 0.06 inches. Other communities in the Inland Empire recorded minute amounts, if any. In East Highland, 0.03 inches was reported by contributor Peter Michas.
The storm did little to pad very low season totals this year across the region. A trough is forecast to bring an additional chance of showers late next week.
