A fast-moving low pressure system swept down California on Friday, with forecasts originally calling for a tenth of an inch for inland areas.

The storm quickly fell apart after passing through the Los Angeles Basin on Friday morning, leaving most communities south and east of that city with no measurable rainfall at all. Warm, gloomy weather persisted for most of Thursday, but when the front arrived Friday morning, it lacked adequate moisture. Of the WeatherCurrents stations, only Simi Valley recorded rainfall - 0.28 inches.

Another storm, albeit a weak one, is expected to arrive late Saturday into Sunday morning. Little precipitation, if any, is predicted. Weather looks to be dry for Halloween.
