A low pressure trough skirted Southern California on Monday, bringing cooler temperatures and light showers with it.
Rainfall was sporadic at best, with totals under 1/10 of an inch in most communities. Simi Valley, northwest of Los Angeles, recorded a modest 0.34 inches. In East Highland, 0.05 inches was reported by Peter Michas. Other communities did not record enough rain to measure.
Weather quickly returned to warm and dry as offshore flow returns to the region. The accompanying Santa Ana Winds and warm weather will persist through the weekend.
