Storm Totals for May 22nd (updated)

A fast, late-season spring storm dumped a quarter inch or more of rainfall on parts of western Riverside and northern San Diego counties. It was the first major rainfall since a wet April in the inland communities.

East of Temecula, 0.50" was recorded. South De Luz was next at 0.49". Riverside recorded the next most at 0.45". Murrieta recorded the least at 0.18".

The storm catapulted many communities over the 10" mark for the season (including Lake Elsinore and Temecula). Hemet remained just under 10" for the season, and Sun City and Riverside remained much drier in the 6" range.

The rain season began on July 1st, 2005 and ends June 30th.
