Despite predictions of dry wind gusts of up to 50 mph in some locations for Thursday, the offshore flow that did show up was much milder in the inland valleys, a trend that is likely to continue as offshore flow dominates much of the next week.
So where did the wind blow Thursday?
The top wind speeds were recorded in Riverside (31 mph) and Perris (29 mph), in the 9am hour. Temecula and Fallbrook recorded gusts to 25 mph, Menifee to 21 mph, and Lake Elsinore and Murrieta to 20 mph.
Nearly everywhere else was in the teens, except for the San Jacinto Valley, where the wind was mostly still. |
