All thirteen WeatherCurrents communities, and much of Southern California, were in triple digits, with records for the day falling in some locations. Relief was set for two days away, with temperatures forecast to begin falling on Tuesday.

Lake Elsinore, Temecula and Wildomar were the hottest, registering 108°F. Very close behind were Hemet, Murrieta, Menifee, Perris and Lake Elsinore at 107°F.

French Valley was 106°F, Moreno Valley 104°F, and Fallbrook 103°F.

Monday was predicted to be just as hot, with strong high pressure again extending the heat all the way to the coast. Tuesday and Wednesday were expected to be cooler, but with more humidity as monsoonal moisture arrives. Temperatures were forecast to continue to slide for the rest of the week.
