Freeze Watch and Frost Advisory Posted for area

The National Weather Service has posted a Frost Advisory for the San Jacinto Valley and surrounding areas for Thursday morning between 1am and 8am. A Frost Advisory means that frost is possible. Temperatures are expected to drop below freezing in many areas for up to 5 hours Thursday morning. Temperature sensitive plants may be killed if left uncovered. The NWS has also posted a Freeze Watch for Thursday night through Friday morning. A Freeze Watch means sub-freezing temperatures are possible. Thursday nights lows may reach into the upper 20's in some areas for as much as 4 hours. Temperature sensitive crops and vegetation are at high risk of damage at these temperature levels. Conditions are expected to be the most extreme in the more wind sheltered areas of the Valley. |
