The wettest storm of the rain season to date dropped between one and two and a half inches of rain on western Riverside and northern San Diego counties to close out February.

Generally, the areas along the western hills in Riverside County (De Luz with 2.48" and Lake Elsinore with 2.16") were the wettest areas from the latest storm. Sun City (1.01"), Riverside (1.23") and Hemet (1.25") recorded the least.

Northern De Luz now leads the seasonal rainfall totals with 6.76", still below average as March begins. Most other communities were over the 5" mark for the season (including Temecula at 5.05 and Murrieta at 5.47"). Sun City had the lowest seasonal total at 3.43".
