A dead power supply, thanks to last weeks thunderstorms and continuing power fluctuations at the Hemet Weathercurrents site location, coupled with a dying backup battery is causing temporary current conditions update problems. A new battery and power supply should be in place later today to temporarily remedy this condition, and an entirely new set of equipment, complete with solar power, backup batteries and a data logging system is slated to go into use in the very near future. Unfortunately more downtime can be expected as batteries fail during times when nobody is available to maintain the unit. |
