Incoming storm Monday and Tuesday could produce 0.15" of showers

What a difference a week makes. Just one week after record hot temperatures, a cold front and showers are on the way. Marine layer arrived in the western inland valleys early Sunday night, marking the latest change in the regional weather pattern, and with it comes a chance of showers over the next couple of days. The storm is a broad low pressure trough, which will be quite cool compared to the subtropical moisture that was pumped through the last several days. Breezy or windy conditions will be especially apparent later Monday and Tuesday. The latest forecasts have fog and drizzle occurring in some locations overnight tonight, followed by a chance of showers tomorrow afternoon and evening and into Tuesday. The greatest chances were expected Tuesday morning. Rain totals were predicted to be weak, between 0.05" and 0.15" in the inland valleys. |
