Thunderstorm activity crawled up and down the mountains on Friday, and also reached across the Elsinore Convergence Zone, culminating in heavy rainfall and flooding in Lake Elsinore

WeatherCurrents stations in Hemet (0.07"), Menifee (0.12") and Lake Elsinore (0.61"), all along the convergence zone, tracked the thunderstorms as they traveled west.

WeatherCurrents' Beaumont / Cherry Valley station also recorded rainfall (0.19").

Stations to the south and north remained dry.

News reports had many streets and intersections in Lake Elsinore temporarily flooded after the rain, which arrived mostly between 4pm and 7pm.

Despite the deluge, no significant injuries or damage was reported.

Friday marked the fourth monsoonal event with measurable rainfall (some spanning multiple days) of the summer to date in Southern California's inland valleys.
