WeatherCurrents' Riverside station stood out, with a maximum reading of 100.1°F for Sunday, April 19th. Temecula also recorded a hot reading of 98.3°F.

Lake Elsinore, Menifee and and De Luz registered maximum temperatures of 95°F Sunday. WeatherCurrents' San Jacinto station was the coolest spot at 89°F.

Triple digit days are often not recorded until June or July, and sometimes not until August. Last year's first triple digit day in Riverside was on May 17th.

It was the warmest April day in Temecula since 2004, when 101.5°F was recorded on April 26th.

Forecasts are betting on repeat heat or perhaps a degree hotter Monday in western Riverside and northern San Diego counties, ahead of slightly cooler conditions Tuesday.
