November heat wave includes two 100° days inland

Posted November 5, 2010, 11:46 AM.

The now-waning heat wave that began this month included two triple-digit days at WeatherCurrents' Riverside location in Canyon Crest.

Riverside recorded high temperatures of 100.2°F and 100.5°F on Wednesday and Thursday, respectively. These were the first two November days to reach triple digits at a WeatherCurrents station.

Overall, Wednesday was the hottest November day inland in at least a decade.

The previous hottest November temperature at a WeatherCurrents station was 96.2°F at Wildomar on November 3, 2009.

The triple digit heat was localized, however. Another nearby station in Moreno Valley recorded 92°F and 91°F on the same two days. Hemet was the next closest for the two days at 97°F and 96°F. Menifee's 98°F on Tuesday was the next hottest temperature for Wednesday.
