Posted August 24, 2010, 12:00 PM.

For 2010, July 15th is still the hottest day to date in the inland valleys, although Monday made a good run at it and Tuesday could be hotter still as a heat wave continues to bake the region.

On Monday, Wildomar led the WeatherCurrents stations with a sweltering 107.8°F. Lake Elsinore was right behind with 106.7°F, then Menifee at 105.9°F and Hemet at 105.6°F.

Perris (104.4°F), Moreno Valley (104.2°F), Murrieta (103.4°F), San Jacinto (102.5°F), Riverside (101.2°F), French Valley (101.1°F), and Temecula (100.3°F) all registered in triple digits.

As of noon on Tuesday, Murrieta, Perris, Moreno Valley and French Valley had already exceeded Monday's high temperatures, and nearly all of the inland valleys were in triple digits.

Only De Luz (96.3°F) and Fallbrook (94.7°F) didn't make triple digits.
